CRYPTO BOLLINGER BANDS SCREENER & TRACKER
What is the Crypto Bollinger Bands Screener?
The Bollinger Bands indicator is a powerful tool for measuring market volatility and identifying overbought or oversold conditions. It consists of a middle moving average and two outer bands that expand and contract based on standard deviation. Price touching the upper band often signals an overbought asset, while touching the lower band suggests it is oversold. The BB Width (BBW) further gauges volatility, widening during high activity and narrowing during consolidation. Not financial advice.

Bollinger Bands consist of three lines: a simple moving average (typically 20-period) as the middle band, and upper and lower bands placed two standard deviations above and below it. When price volatility expands, the bands widen; when volatility contracts, they squeeze together. The bands adapt dynamically to market conditions rather than being fixed levels.
The Bollinger Band Squeeze is one of the most watched setups in technical analysis. When the bands are unusually narrow — indicating a prolonged period of low volatility — it often signals that a large price move is imminent, though direction is not predetermined. A breakout above the upper band during a squeeze tends to be bullish; a breakdown below the lower band tends to be bearish.
Price touching or exceeding the upper band indicates an asset has moved unusually far from its mean — a potential sign of short-term overbought conditions in ranging markets. In strong trending markets, however, price can 'walk the band' — repeatedly touching the upper or lower band without reverting to the mean, confirming rather than warning against the trend direction.
